Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is one of the most active airport authorities in the world, overseeing the ongoing modernization of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Skyview building represents a major milestone in that effort — an 11-floor, 200,000+ square-foot workplace built to consolidate and support the airport's operations staff in a modern, functional environment.

Unisource Solutions served as the FF&E partner for the full buildout, managing everything from procurement and phased installation to a large-scale employee move management program.

Project Priorities

LAWA needed a trusted partner to furnish 11 floors of a newly renovated building while simultaneously coordinating the relocation of 1,000+ employees, all without disrupting the day-to-day operations of an active international airport. The scope included executive offices, open office workstations, conference rooms, lobby areas, and outdoor lounge spaces, with a construction schedule that demanded precision sequencing and constant coordination.

Our Approach

Phased Move Management: Unisource developed and executed a comprehensive relocation plan, moving 1,000+ employees across 7 temporary locations while the Skyview buildout was completed floor by floor, then managing the full move-back once installation was complete.

Floor-by-Floor FF&E Installation: Furniture delivery and installation were sequenced to align with the general contractor's construction milestones, ensuring each floor was ready for occupancy on schedule and minimizing idle time or conflicts on an active job site.

Close Coordination with the Project Team: Unisource maintained ongoing communication with LAWA, SAA, Colliers, and Swinerton throughout the project, ensuring alignment across design intent, construction progress, and operational needs at every phase.

Comprehensive Product Scope: The Skyview buildout called for a cohesive mix of Haworth systems and ancillary products across all work settings — from Compose and Upside workstations in open office areas to Master Series private offices, Planes and flip-top conference tables, and outdoor lounge pieces from Janus et Cie and Emeco.
